Google Business Profile Optimisation

The free listing that decides whether you appear in Google Maps and the local results box — set up properly and then actually maintained.

Google Business Profile, still widely called Google My Business, is the single highest-return piece of local marketing for most businesses with a location or a service area. It costs nothing, it appears above the ordinary search results, and the overwhelming majority of competitors fill it in once and never return to it.

That gap is the opportunity. A profile with the right categories, current photos, answered questions and a steady flow of reviews will consistently beat a neglected one, including one that is physically closer to the searcher.

What's included

Claimed and verified

Setting up the profile properly, or claiming and recovering one that already exists. Duplicate and unauthorised listings get merged or removed, because two profiles competing for the same business split your ranking and confuse customers.

Categories, services and attributes

Primary and secondary categories are the single biggest ranking lever in local search, and the one most profiles get wrong. Services, hours, attributes and the business description all set properly alongside them.

Photos, products and posts

Real current photography rather than stock, products where they apply, and regular posts. Profiles that are visibly maintained perform better and convert better.

Reviews and questions

A process for asking customers at the right moment, replies written for every review, and the common questions answered on the profile before anyone has to ask.

Tracking what the profile produces

Calls, direction requests, messages and website clicks attributed to the profile, so you can see what it is actually generating rather than guessing.

Who this is for

  • Businesses that customers visit, or that travel to customers in a defined area
  • Anyone whose listing was set up once years ago and never touched since
  • Businesses with duplicate or unclaimed listings competing with each other

Common questions

It is the listing that shows your business in Google Maps and in the local results box above the normal links — formerly called Google My Business. If customers can visit you, or you travel to them, it is usually the highest-return work in local search: free, above the ordinary results, and mostly neglected by competitors. If you sell purely online with no service area, it matters far less and we will say so.

That part is Google's process, not ours, and it varies. Video verification is often done within a week; postcard verification can take two to three, and occasionally fails and has to be retried. We handle the submissions and the follow-ups, but nobody can put a firm date on Google approving a listing, and any agency that promises one is guessing.

We will not. Stuffing keywords into the business name breaks Google's guidelines, and profiles get suspended for it — sometimes months later, taking your reviews and rankings with them. Competitors doing it are carrying a risk they have not priced in. Rankings are earned through categories, reviews, proximity and consistency instead.

We build the process — when to ask, how to ask, and the follow-up — and we write replies to every review that arrives. We do not write reviews, buy them, or filter out unhappy customers before they reach the form. All three break Google's policies and India's consumer rules, and a profile caught doing it loses far more than it gained.
